FEDUP does it again

Sometimes, it's location, IMO. USPS here...well, not great. UPS is"OK", Fedex usually pretty on-time and their tracking seems to be more informative.

Of course, I have everything sent to my work address, as I live in a pretty remote location, behind a locked gate, so no deliveries to home....except for the Christmas presents that were shipped to the billing address, rather than the ship-to address. Tracking said left at gate...yeah, no. I'm, sure they were heisted by a passer-by as there was nothing there when we all got home. They did credit the order, but still.....

Bought some NOS door sills from here. USPS found a way to pretzel them up. Got a refund check for the claim soon after making such claim. They took my "proof of value" and I don't even remember what it was. They didn't even fight it. Of course, I got video of the delivery too showing the sills already pretzled in the mailperson's hands when they dropped it off. Didn't even have to use it.

EVERY single time someone has ever shipped me anodized aluminum bits, USPS or UPS finds a way to turn them into an UTZ Pretzel.

PVC tube, only way to ship moldings and have them survive
If I were packing them, that's what would happen. But unfortunately, I had no say in the packaging of said items. Every time I send something to someone, I think about that old luggage commercial and how the package is going to be treated...

Just imagine the airport as UPS, and the suitcases as your package of rare G-body parts...

Working at UPS for a school year (the tuition reimbursement program was great and why so many worked there) almost 20 years ago, I saw first hand how packages are handled, especially the small/light ones which could be tossed up high and far back once your wall was built when loading.

I as a carrier and I always felt they carriers at least cared about the mail. Some more than others, but when you are in contact with the customers every day it gets personal. When a carrier gets hurt and put on light duty they get sent to a facility and do clerk work. That is when you see how the damage gets done. The clerks never see the customers and act accordingly. The mail is just junk as far they are concerned. Things get smashed and no one cares. Very sad. Also carriers set up and load their own vehicles to make it easier and more eficcient. At UPS and FEDUP they are loaded for them by the equivilent of clerks. Thus you see the driver go down the same block three times. i am still waiting to hear from the FEDUP big shot so I can ask why my A-V-E-N-U-E gets changed to RD and mis-delivered.
