I took advantage of the nice weather and got my car all cleaned up so I decided to take some photos while I was at it.
Some backstory on the car: It is an 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon of which I am the third owner. It is my first car and I purchased it on August 21, 2010 with 98k miles on it, and it has been my daily driver since now with 103k on the odometer. The car is mostly stock save for a few minor things and the body is straight and relatively solid with the exception of a little rot in the trunk and on the rear frame rails. I have big plans for it that I hope to carry out over the next couple of years such as a complete frame off restoration, Olds Rocket 455, built 2004r, 3.42:1 gears and aftermarket pro touring type suspension. I hope you guys like it as much as I do 😀

650 Holley that I absolutely hate. (I realize it's too big and hope to resolve the issue soon)

Previous owner unhooked the seat for subs and I can't for the life of me get it to sit flush.

All the weatherstripping is pretty much shot, also at some point it was repainted and rather than at least tape off the side window trim they just painted over it without any prep work.

Previous owner parked it in Flint and caught two guys stealing the rocker trim, emblems, and window trim. Luckily they dropped it all and ran but they did a number on the windshield trim which now leaks profusely.

LOVING THE CAR.. LOOKS REAL NICE WITH THE SPOILER

yes........very nice. fellow 85 salon owner here. had the same problem with my back seat. mine was removed a few times by stereo guys....they bent it gettin it out. i removed the rear seat and bent the curve back into it. but dont reaf to hard on it , bends pretty easily, but curve it past what you think. then when you hook it back in it has a little tension to it and will fit great!!

here is a link to my salon........

Nice car. I'm thinking bout changing my grilles back to the 85's. They're growing on me. Might have a seat back if u have probs straightening that one. 🙂
