Well technically its an a-body but whatever lol. Anyways its a 78 cutlass in pristine condition with a 260 v8 and 78000 original miles. The motor has a slight knock in it, and my dad being an olds guy is not about to throw a chevy in it, so its gonna get a 350 rocket. We don't have it yet because my dad has to save the money up but he's buying it from a friend so its not like its going anywhere, but hopefully I can get it soon. Well anyways ill just shut up and post some pics lmao.

Yeah me too, the guy only wants a grand for it so it shouldn't take too long. Oh and yeah lol I told my dad the same thing but being that its my first car and I'm a leadfoot enough as it is, he doesn't want me to wrap it around a tree lol. But when the time comes to drop a 455 in it'll probably have a 4 speed stick behind it 🙂

cutlass looks great man....happened to see a bunch of 60-66 chevy trucks in the background, is your dad's friend willing to sell any parts?

My first CAR was a 79 cutlass with power everything and a moon roof. Clean body and frame with a 260. I really, really, really miss the car. Traded it when I was 17 for a piece of sh*t rice burner. Treat the car good and don't let any of your buddies talk you into doing dumb sh*t with it. You're lucky to have a classic like that.

Yeah I think so. What parts do you need and how far away from michigan do you live?

Don't worry man, the car will be in good hands. I can be a leadfoot at times but I try to be responsible about it. I don't run red lights or race people or do any stupid sh*t like that. It's just not worth it. But when I do get the car I do wanna do a few things to it so I can take it to a road course of some sort. Drag racing is cool but I mean I think it'd be alot cooler to go to a track where you actually have to turn lol. Maybe its just because I play too much gran turismo lol.

Yeah I don't think a 455 in a light G-Body is a good choice for a first time driver. 😛

But when and if you get around to it it'll be awesome... There's a guy that lives near me with a Cutlass like that one only it's black on black with a tan interior. Anyway, he's got a 455 in his with the full Edlebrock Performer package heads/intake/carb/cam, etc. and the thing is a monster. He told me it puts out over 600 horsepower I was gonna drive it but then I got in my accident and I haven't seen the guy in like two years.

A good ways south. I'm looking for a dash mounted clock.

Looks like a nice Cutlass. I must be getting old, I didn't even notice the wire wheels at first. A nice set of 15" Old's Rally wheels would look great on it.
