Well I'd say the most basic upgrade to rear suspension would be control arms.

Street or strip use..

For either I would get all poly-urethane mounts, boxed lower control arms, new springs and shocks.

for strip I would also add adjustable upper arms and the added brace bars.

I would agree..If you are just on the street, I would recommend boxing your uppers and lowers. If you do not have a welder, I am sure any fab or metal shop could do it pretty inexpensively.I would also put a rear sway bar on it. Make sure to have the sway bar spacer tacked in before boxing the lower control arms. If you do not have a rear sway bar, I sell them.Good luck with your project. Tim

Congrats 8) looks like a a 8.5 right? Feels good putting together a piece that's gonna hold together.

thanks, yup its a 8.5........ feels damn good

Hey Brother man.... I have a decent setup for street and strip use. I would recommend the UMI upper and lower setup (249.99) and either use their sway bar setup or go with a drag bar if you want to go a little crazy. I put an HR parts sway grag bar with my 8.5 posi setup and the damn thing will hook more than spin, and it hooks straight, not off canter. I use normal shocks, and normal springs. I believe its all in the control of the suspension.
