here some pics of the sludge 307 motor pretty nasty , there motor was so done for.. but actually even after blowing the head gasket and the way it looks, and needing all new gaskets and just about all bolts loosen on it, it always started up and ran

oh theres big list, clean up up the engine bay for 1, get all the years of sludge grease and take care of the frame, sand down the frame, weld in spots that are barely welded, then get some kbs coating rust seal and seal it up good, then put the motor 350 in oh an thanks for the help guys, i had a flat head that the handle broke off and stuck that in the holes to get to those bolts doing this by my self took longer and it being first time good lessson learned, now just not sure what to do with this 307 sitting outside on tire haha

in my 3rd picture take a look at my transmission does anyone have an idea what type of torque converter i have or where to look for part number?

Just look at the converter. It will most likely have a bunch of 'D7' markings all over it ( I think ). If so, then it's just your run of the mill crappy stock converter, and by crappy I mean crappy for a performance application.

ok.. i have a 2600 stall to put in it's black alitttle bit smaller then the stock, but i''m sittin here thinking how am i going to get the flex plate bolts on the aftermarket converter? if i remember right i think it didnt have those knobs that the stock have or it does its smaller so how does that work

What kinda engine you replacing the 307 with?

If I'm not mistaken you probably need a flexplate with either a smaller or dual bolt pattern to use an aftermarket performance torque converter.

ok i'm going t check and see of the flexplate matches up with the hole on the aftermarket converter hopefully if does i see in the picture that theres other holes from where it orinally was
