AZ,
Nice looking wagon. It has a nice stance, too. They always seem to look good with rallye wheels.
What are your plans with it?Jack

Thanks, Jack,

This going to be my daily driver/project. I hope to get it looking and smelling good inside first. Carpet, headliner, and vinyl. Outside, just basically repair things and put an OEM roof carrier back on it. No plans to paint it.

I've also got some basic stuff to do - get the smog equipment back in shape (required in Phoenix and due by April), reinstall AC and radio, replace various dried-up and brittle pieces. The instrument panel plastic is particularly fragile.

Then I'll work on suspension and performance. It has a 305 HO, and I haven't decided yet whether to keep it or drop in a 327 or 350. I do like the better gas mileage of the little 305, though, so probably will keep it unless something pops up.
Headers if I can afford them. But smog-legal headers are expensive!

That's basically it at this point, subject to change based on the day of the week and whatever idea hits me. No final plans, it's the working on it that keeps me interested, more than a 'finished' product.

do you have a roof rack or do you need one cause I pulled mine off and it is in great shape

I don't have one, was just planning on hanging around the junkyards til one showed up. What do you want for it?

hell hea someone is getting a great deal almost a whole new interior for 155 bucks

I think the final bid was $195.00...still a great deal for all those good parts... :blam:

yea it went for 195 but you could use the pieces you need and part the rest and make money or at least break even

Clips for the rear.........save they base of the busted piece you took off and buy ones on ebay. I think I used the ones for the rear trim of a el camino or coupe. Can't remember which. They are not as wide at the base of the wagon ones. Compare how much narrower they are and splice the two together at the base and fasten with 2 pop-rivets. I used a small 3 inch rol-loc grinder (36 grit pad) to get them to mesh together before riveting. Problem fixed! They are pretty strong that way and you can't tell once they slide into the trim and you install the piece.

might try that since I have a bunch of extra ones for the front since I thought they were all the same
