Well I just got done putting all of the front suspension together. Unfortunately the car is sitting noticeably higher in the front. Guess I'll just drop the spindle and cut a coil or 2 out to lower her down. Right now, with its stance, it looks like i'm fixing to put 24's on it which ain't gonna happen. But the one positive thing out of those springs and the new front end rebuild is that the front end doesn't budge and is as tight as a virgin lol.

If you have new springs, they will settle over time.

x2, I agree with dan, wait about a year then cut your springs if you need to. It could settle between 1/2 and 1 inch. Did you take pics? I think everybody'd like to see what u did.

Does it really settle that much over a year? I'll take pix tomorrow. I have to put the inner fenders back in cause I had to take them out to access the upper control arm. My driveway sits at an incline so I need to roll it out into the street tomorrow to take some pix of it on level ground.

Your new bushings can also be tight and cause the suspension to not fully settle. Start driving it and it will start to settle down, but I definately would not jump to cutting coils right away.

I'll try driving it for a few but the way it's sitting right now seems to be high. Maybe its because the springs the car came with were so worn after 30 years. I thought the same thing about maybe the bushings just need some grease and drive it a bit to get all the suspension to settle down.
