basically a proxy is having another person/country act or vote for you. it works in voting, but when it comes to action the other person has to be capable of completing the job. if you're a weightlifter you don't use a 98 pound weakling as your proxy. :lol:

What's the deffinition of a "proxy war"?

Essentially using our training, intel and private contractors (like Blackwater, or mercenaries) etc. to incite unrest or funding their operations while they attack our so called enemy for us. Kind of like our funding of Osama and Al Queda when they fought the Russians in the early 80's.

The thing is, do YOU know what a Neocon is? A Neocon essentially is someone who supports a mix of left and right wing values, mostly some liberal social programs. It came to be in the 1960's as a reaction to the radical left-wing ideologies that many left wing intellectuals went away from, so it is essentially a centrist movement. This differs from true conservatism which tends to be more Libertarian in nature. An example of a Neocon would be JFK.

BTW, I am NOT a Neocon, but I am a Conservative with some Libertarian leanings. I believe in the same things the Republican party has stood for for most of it's history. Civil Rights and Equality, Limited Government, Low Taxes, etc. By opposition, for most of their history the Democrats have stood for the oppression of minorities ( The Party was formed to oppose the Civil War and it's first Presidential nominee was George Mc Clelland), more intrusive government, and higher taxes.

Neoconservatism can be distinguished from Conservatism in a few ways:
- Many old conservatives were isolationist. Neoconservatives are imperialistic and favor pre-emptive war.
- Many traditional conservatives were libertarian in nature, wanting to absolutely reduce the size and scope of the government. Neoconservatives want to slash social programs but drastically increase military spending and corporate welfare.
- Many old conservatives were protectionist, aka "Buy American" while neoconservatives embrace globalization and overseas outsourcing
- Christian Conservatives are courted by neoconservatives for the voting power but neoconservativism does not really follow any Christian principles. Example: the reliance on abortion as a 'wedge issue' to bring out the Christian vote but even when Republicans had the White House, Congress, and the majority of SCOTUS justices were Republican nominees not a single thing was done to change abortion law.

Essentially, neoconservatives are the hawkish, big-business elements of the Republican party as contrasted with the libertarian elements.

Yes I do, thanks. But you're failing to mention the most important (I think) aspects of a NeoCon. And that is an aggressive foreign policy in which we attack our so called enemies first because they are deemed a threat for whatever reason.

please explain to me what is wrong with a country trying to hold onto it's own territory?

I said their % numbers are disproportionate to their population, giving Jews and NeoCons a good amount of influence in the mass media.

As for China, tell us what we are doing about their stealing and maybe you'll understand my point, or maybe not.
