I took my car for a long drive today for a 150 miles round trip. I had it up to 70 mph on the highway and I HATE the steering so I am going to change that ASAP. Other than that everything went great. Gas mileage is not that great but I wanted a V-8 so I can't complain, besides it is about the same as the Nissan d-21 v6 I had. The only problem I had was an accident about 10 miles ahead of me on the highway. everyone was stopped dead for 2 hours. The temp gauge crept up to almost 240 degrees from sitting, this is in almost 90 degree weather. I pulled over seeing as I wasn't going anywhere anyway and let it cool down.
So I guess my next venture is to either A: get a s-10 stearing box or B: try looping the system I have now
Update all the sway bars, shocks, tie rods, ball joints and breaks. Whatever else I missed plus a new rear end, Shift kit and a trans cross member. I should have just about every thing I need done to this car.
I pulled a nice burnout at my friends shop, about 100 feet. I also went to a car meet and had a few people ask me if it was a T-type, seeing as I painted everything black. I may just keep it that way because it's about the 7th time someone asked me,lol.
