I'm still learning this stuff, but that doesn't seem right to me... How would that work I wonder?

Is it normal that my idling rpm went up for like 750 to little over 1000 , and im pretty sure that i have a adjustable vacuum advance, never messed with one ,and i h; not sure why but i cant seam to feel any vacuum when the line off the distributor is disconected or off the carb wtf i dont get it either .

yes, the more advance you give it, the smoother and higher it will idle. You have to readjust the idle, and likely the carb. Get yourself a vacuum gauge to tune the carb. You want to tune idle mixture to where vacuum is most stable. An engine like your's will probably be happy around 15 to 18 inHg of vacuum

I have one but im not getting vacuum off the carb or dist. O hooked it up and the needle isnt moving - its like the whole.car doesnt have any im not getting any to switch through the air vent options either .not really sure who ,i adjusted vacuum onmy other car i had and almost same setup as far a engine but not getting the vac now

it might be plugged to the timed vacuum port on the carb. This is will only give full vacuum at higher rpms. You won't see any vacuum at idle this way.

you need to plug into a full vacuum port on the carb base plate, or to an access port on the intake.

Ran her earlyer today ,i got a huge jump in response out of the back tires stl not what i was.expecting out of the enginebut going in the right direction. Next im going to take apart the distributor and see how the vac advance is set up and watch it adjust ,and play with the different spring set ups thanks again.for all the help.

you're very welcome, I hope I made enough sense, and hopefully didn't give any incorrect information

Just did two road tests after changing springs in the distributor ,went two heavy springs- no tire reaction off the line acted funny around 55: os i went completly the other was two light springs and road tested it big smoke plums from tires good response best ive had yet,and i researched it on some big websites and they said it is ok to go up one med and on light spring to really tune it in ,thank for pointing me in the right direction going to mess with it a.bit more and try to fine tune it .
