Hello,

I have a couple of three questions, hope I can consolidate them here.

Any information is always appreciated.

My 84 Calais has a 2 hole grommet for the automatic transmission shift cable. I need to replace it and all of the typical sites say 3 hole is correct. Not sure if it matters? But there are definitely only 2 holes in the floor board.

Same car, the mounting for the shifter appears to be only attached with seam sealer and while it's "attached" it's not rigid. Was this normal? And before I reassemble the interior, is there a downside to spot welding the bracket?

Last question 😁 th400 switch pitch, I read that you can add a short tail housing with provision for speedometer cable? I can't find anything to verify that this would work IF I were to use that transmission in the 84 and wanted to run speedometer cable off of the transmission.

Thanks again

The shifter bracket and console bracket are they welded or just attached with seam sealer?
