This is cool and the price is doable cause these bodies are hard to find....$11,900 for the basic model and ranges close to $15k once all the panels are included. It's also done under licence so you know the parts will fit properly on projects already on the go..

I think that's going to be a BIG hit for Ford and Dennis Carpenter.
With the recessed firewall, you could build an affordable "hi-tech" street rod for a reasonable amount of $$$.

To me, 15K is a lot of money. By that I mean it takes me a long time to earn/save it up. But for a factory straight and zero rust '40 Ford coupe body it's an amazing bargain. They are an iconic design and make a great platform for just about any style of build. I wonder how they are titled. Kit, replica or actually 1940 Ford. I built a '36 Chevy a few years ago that was on a Toyota frame and had a 283/powerglide. I had a title (out of state) for the body, a title for the frame, and documentation on the engine. When it came time to license it I had to have a state patrol inspection. They titled it as a "1936 Chevy replica" because I didn't have 2 out of 3 from the same car. It was a huge bummer but it didn't detract from the fun of driving it.
