frame question

ok so im pretty sure im right about this but im just asking to double check.

im looking to buy a frame. a guy near me has a frame from an 81 grand prix. this should be identical to the frame that my 85 cutlass supreme has correct?

also, it has a corvair, i believe, body mounted on it and hes not sure if the previous owner had to modify/trim the frame to fit the body on. does anyone know if they have to do frame mods to fit the corvair body on?

no, the 85 frame will have an extension so you can bolt in a 2004r crossmember, aside from that they should be the same in just about every way.

ok, i plan on getting a 2004r eventually, is there a custom crossmember for it or a way to modify it?

You can buy a frame extention to get the 2nd set of holes to mount a 200-4R crossmember. G-force has them or check e-bay
