Hello,
I have an 84 SS with blazer 2" drop spindles and C5 vette brakes up front. How wide of a rim can I get away with on the front, 9 or 9.5?
Thanks for your help, David

I have 17x9 on the front with 5.625 bs. on three gbodies. Only have one tire that rubs on full compression.

You MUST run tall upper balljoints to help the camber curve otherwise the tire will rub on the inner fender.
I will have to try this.

I have 18x9.5" with no issues. 5.25" backspacing. You MUST run tall upper balljoints to help the camber curve otherwise the tire will rub on the inner fender.
I can't remember.... Are you running drop spindles w/your set-up?

Any pics of it w/current wheels? What size are your current tires?

No wheels at the moment. I am looking for them now. That's why I have so many questions. My stock 15" wheels won't fit !!! LOL !!!!

I am not running dropped spindles. Shouldn't make a difference in what you can run for wheel width though. At least not that I can think of.

It can depending on back-space/offset.

Tire diameter and section width play a big role in what does or doesn't work. Wheel width and backspacing/offset are just starting points.
