...want a mechanical type w/out a regulator. Been told that something like this will be sufficient... Holley 80gph

This is my daily driver that I'd like to have a little fun with on the weekends. Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions from experience?
Also, I've read that a 1970-71 Camaro/Corvette stock replacement fuel pump (from O'reily's and the like) have a free flow rate of 90gph. Any truth to this? If so I'm thinking of slapping on one of those for half the price of the Holley.

I don't think any factory mechanical pump put out that kind of GPH -

buy a summit racing brand #sum-25000-1. It's the same exact pump as that holley. Summit doesn't make parts they just rebox other manufacturers and put there name on it. Alittle cheaper then holley but if you look at the summit pump it has the holley number stamped in it.

Thanks man, I already got the Holley however. This is the second time this week someone has pointed out that I'm overpaying for a name. I just want to make sure that I'm not robbing my engine of power and have a habit of going all out to make sure. Oh well, you live and learn. And I'm learning to do more research before I whip out my wallet, and that Jeg's kinda sucks. A tech rep sold me some headers that didn't even come close to fitting, I bought the Holley with the credit they gave me so at least it didn't seem like I was forking out extra cash at the time.
