Hey, new here i have an 84 grand prix (chevy 305 if that matters) that needs a new fuel pump, and was wondering where its located and how easy it is to change(not realy the mechanic type), ive searched all over the place for a diagram or something but have come up empty. Thanks in advance.

the pump is inside the fuel tank, which is located in the rear of the car. 4 bolts to drop the two straps holding the tank, one more bolt to drop the lines and thats it.

Not on that car. It's bolted to the front passenger side of the engine. You can follow the fuel line down to it. The line probably runs down behind the alternator. Here's a link that has a pic of the pump, should help you identify it.

Pretty much just disconnect the fuel line(s) from the pump. Take out the two mounting bolts and then slide it out. Watch for the pushrod to slide down when you take it off. Clean off the gasket area, then reverse the directions. You might have to fight with the push rod to keep it to stay up when you try to put the pump back on. If you really aren't that mechanically inclined then try to find someone to help you.
