Fuel Pump

Working on the Monte tonight and was trying to put on my new edelbrock fuel pump. The new pump has the inlet on the back of the pump as the old pump has the inlet and outlet pointing toward the front. Has anyone installed one of these pumps and what did you do. The inlet in the back of the pump butts up right against the motor mount. I'll order a different pump or just put a block off plate on the block and run a pump in the back if that's the only option Let me know guys

If its the pump i am thinking of it has allen screws on the bottom side you can loosen or remove those screw and rotate the lower housing to whAt ever position you want it.
