Vehicle 1983 Buick Regal, had 252 4bbl

I am in process of installing a built Ls1 into my regal.

I want to purchase a walbro sender from Racetronix with the AN lines. I want to replace the fuel tank. Mine has been patched already.

I have a solid neck / filler. But the license plate hits it. I am unsure if this has been replaced.

Where do I get a good replacement. Which do I get, with neck or with out?

I need baffled. Which I think mine is.

If your filler neck is hitting your license plate, then it has to be the wrong one. All you should need is a Grand National gas tank like the Spectra GM307C that comes with a filler neck that should fit a Regal. The GM3C is the same tank but without the filler neck.

Well considering you can buy a new tank without a filler neck then it would stand to reason you should be able to add your own to it. With that said though, do you think it wise to want to swap on your current filler neck that you just said doesn't even fit right?

If the neck is hitting the license plate it is from a Monte or GP.

So, it has been changed at some point.

Ok, cheapest correct tank is a Spectra GM307C or GM3C are the correct tanks.

I assume that they have baffles?

Where is the best place to get it (read cheap) ?

Yes they have baffles. From what I read, the older style ones had a lame 'dog dish' baffle but they changed the design and the current ones now have better ones. Make sure when purchasing one you get the later style one with the better baffles. Your on your own for finding the cheapest place to get one but you should be able to get one for under $200.

I'm using a stock 87 GN tank with no issues.. and i just bought the racetronix AN fitting pump still trying to find out how to make it work with the Vette filter/regulator using braided lines.
