My respect for those springs rose when I witnessed the front spring off a 12 cyl. BMW 7-series coming loose from a breaking spring compressor, leaving a significant hole in the brick workshop wall 30ft. away nearly killing a co-worker.
That was 32 years ago, I still handle those like loaded guns.
