Nor is a overbuilt engine in an underbuilt antique chassis. That much HP requires really good engineering through the whole car, no cutting corners anywhere.

don't know if it was underbuilt in the engine bay but he certainly made an effort inside. I'm wondering if he's thinking now "dmnit! I should have installed the Emergency Brake!"

The problem seems to be is that he built a "brag car." He basically built a track car for just street cruising. Even half the power, 650 hp is on the extreme side for a street driven car that requires damn good brakes and backups. Also anytime you drive a roll cage equipped car you really should wear a helmit. 1k HP still mainly belongs on the race track and not the street.
