Shouldn't it be the late 60/early 70's cars lying about performance, the 80/90's is king of take these pieces of junk off our hands with little improvement cause we know you will only buy American?

That era was also the king time that Asian imports had free self weight reduction. Several car mags at the time tested cars including G bodies with times that indicated a little more power than advertised. Afterall, many 80's cars could go faster than the 85 speedo, even if took a while to get there. Modern day build quality is terrible along with increasing software bugs. Rental car I had on my vacation last Dec leaked rain water badly and reeked of mildew despite being only a year old. Plus the c8ntrols were awkward.

In short,
