I recently traded a couple of enduros ( 78 DT250E one restored and one parts bike ) for an 88 Monte, a lawn tractor, and an R/C car...

Driving it home was awesome. Except for the lack of a body ground. At night. Brakes or headlights, but not both.

Rockers are rusty, lower door skins, as is driver side floor pan. However, the rest of the rig is solid.

Radiator was rotted so in went this guy. Perfect fit. Heater core, 35 dollars and some brass later, toasty!

Do I really need to add the tee for the heater hose connection to the radiator?

After replacing the brakes, including the rear backing plates, pipes, hoses, and cables, my fuel tank started dripping. I am going to swap something in at some point and was wondering about what tank would work best for EFI, but would also work for a carb now. Such as best EFI tank that I can just toss a sock on the sender for now?

Then I noticed the master is leaking. Time for a hydroboost...

Has a 1405 600CFM, some edlebrock intake, maybe a performer dual plane, some kind of lumpy cam, after adjusting the linkage and TV cable ( remove zip ties and install proper hardware ) The 2004r actually downshifts. Is a 305, though the vin is not matched.

After installing a body ground, every thing worked except cruise ( missing ) and the left rear turn signal ( found loose connection at steering column ).

Still deciding on a color. I own a shop and get great deals on parts, but am not sure of the best make and model to order for. I was talking to one of my customers that owns a body shop today, working a deal for a paint job and rust repair!

Interesting hood. So was it paint stripper or a fire that gave it that look?

Just kids trying to "flat black" it. Then they tried using undercoating and it turned yellow. It rubs right off with your fingernail.

The frame is great. I am sure I could have found a completely rust free car out west somewhere. But then I would have had to trust someone to inspect it and ship it to me.
