Questions about g body 700r4 driveshaft I know the length is supposed to be 49 1/2" center to center for the 700r4 transmission in a g body with 7.5 rearend, but I found one that is 50" center to center do you'll think the half inch longer driveshaft will fit with no problems? Thanks

You need to measure from yoke to yoke, with rear wheels on ground, flat rack lift, or axle on stands.

I’d hafta search it myself but what’s the prescribed amount of the yoke sticking out of the tail shaft full weight on the suspension? If it’s 1”, then you’re playing with 1/2” of slip. That’s fine if your car is a garage queen and driven gently on flat level surfaces. IMG_6025.jpeg

I have 700r4 and 8.5 in my 84. I have a gen 2 fbody driveshaft in my car. Its 48.5" ujoint to ujoint. Since it has an abody 8.5 the mounting is custom. From side shot pics it does look like the rear wheels are setback compared to other gbodys.
