I am looking for some pretty basic information. I have a g body monte and putting a 5.3 ls with the 4l60E in it. I only attend to make it a turbo track car. What all do i need wiring wise? I am looking for as few as possible.

There are thousands of write ups on this but I just basically finished this if you go carb u need msd box for ignition and computer and wiring harness or tcu to feed information to the transmission https://gbodyforum.com/forums/g-body-lsx-swap/ I basically followed this thread[/QUOTE iam going to keep it fuel injected. Can i use the morso switch box to wire my basics like fan, electric water pump, fuel, lights, ignotion and push button start for everything? I realize that i will have to wire the trans too.

Also i do not have the factory harness for the g body.

You will need to find and modify a factory harness. What you are undertaking requires a high skill level and a lot of research for your specific combination. If you have a background in electronics you will be OK and can modify a factory LS harness. Most people use LT1swap.com as a resource. If not, you can buy complete LS harness and ECM from many of the aftermarket suppliers. psi conversions in my opinion is among the best. I made my own harness because I don't like the fuse centers, cost and cookie cutter approach they use. BTW, your 4L60 will fail if used for a high HP application. You will wish you had upgraded to a 4L80e. Here are some resources.

Ok great help, I also have a th350 i can send out that will probably make it easier and cheaper to build.

The PSI conversion harnesses are well made. We used one on the LS 6.0 swap in my brother's 78 Z28. The 4L60 can be beefed up to survive behind a warmed up 5.3. It should live fine behind a stock 5.3. I have a 5.3/4L70 in my 08 Sierra daily driver. I've modded the truck with Cam, headers, exhaust, throttle body, underdrive pulley, high stall torque converter, 4.10 gears, etc. The stock transmission held up well but at around 120k miles the 3-4 clutch pack gave up. That's the weakness in the 4L60/65/70. It is now beefed up with the Sonnax input shaft/drum, The Beast Sun Shell, better clutches, blah, blah, blah. It has about 25k miles on the build and is running fine. A 4L80 is a much stronger transmission though. When I build the 408 stroker for the truck after I get my GP back together, I may have to do a 4L80 swap.
