A little progress on the malibu today. Worked on lining up the trunk lid and primed. I have a problem though. I popped a spring loose on the pass side hinge. I guess I probably need to start a thread in the malibu section. :friday:

Welcome aboard man!
Looks like a fairly clean Malibu. What happened to the driver's side quarter? Did it have a section grafted on, or was it just bent there and someone went bondo crazy? Whichever the case, it looks good now.
It's looking good..and should look good with the Cragar S/S's.

Jack

Welcome here to GBF, that's a nice project you have there. Doing the bodywork yourself means you'll have extra play $$$ to buy more things for that 'Bu🙂 How much you get it for??

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Jack, yes the quarter there was caved in and whom ever done the work on it had a thing for putty. Hopefully I get it pretty strait. I haven't done a lot of body work.

Jbrue, I really think the price was a little high, but I really wanted the car. I gave 1100 for it.

I don't think you did bad paying $1100. for it. Good luck on the body work. It looks like you're doing fine.
Keep up the good work.
A friend of mine was originally from Joplin, Mo. How has the area recovered after those horrific tornadoes?

Its going pretty good after the tornado. Most of the debris has been cleaned up and a lot of rebuilding has begun. Most of the major retail stores have rebuilt and re-opened. The city says that 50% of property owners have gotten permits to rebuild. It will be a long time before its back to normal though.
