Just put a couple seconds of serious thought into this. I don't think it's a bad idea but are we gonna post the g.b.o.t.y. on the front page like we're doing with the monthly winners? I don't know if I'd like that. I mean obviously if it wins G-Body of the Year then it's gonna be a good looking car, but you can always have too much of a good thing and I don't know if I'm gonna like looking at the same car for a whole year.
Still gotta honor the champ though. What if that user who won received a special banner that they could put in their signature? Like a picture of their car and:

off to one side of the banner. You could try to incorporate the website name somewhere too.
Anyway, just a thought. Main point is that one year is a pretty long time to see one car on the front page.

Depending on the forum software used you can create custom ranks that appear under the users Avatar.. These can be "stack able" for more then one. It takes a bit of time setting the Rank up in the back end and then either creating the rank image, or at the least giving the rank a name (ie "GotY: 2011").
