I SEE WHERE CHANGING FROM 7.5 TO 8.5 REAR YOU HAVE TO SHORTEN THE DRIVE SHAFT. I HAVE FOUND A 7 5/8 OUT OF A 87 MONTE SS, WILL THIS BE A DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR THE 85 GP. THANKS IN ADVANCE. :?:

First, turn off the CAPS LOCK. It's really annoying.

Second, the 7.625" will bolt in using the same driveshaft. Your speedometer will be way off however.
