THE 6 BANGERS WILL NEVER GET YOU STUCK IN THE SNOW... my 83 malibu is a freaking TANK in the snow, i blow by 4 wheel drive clowns everytime it snows... granted it helps that the 3.8 6cyl can barely get out of its own way, and the fact that i always have a couple hundred pounds in my trunk... hell, my tires are bald, way bald, and i live in CONNECTICUT, tons of snow, and i have NEVER gotten stuck ANYWHERE, and i plow for a living which means i have to drive my car 3 towns over before the plows touch the roads and "patriot" (my malibu), cuts through the snow like a hot knife through butter...

They are Ok in snow but rust a lot over time exposed to salt. Mine with studded tires, no slip and weight was good but not 4x4 good. Awd is NOTa 4x4, no where close. I can push through up to my bumper in my 4x4. A lot of sources for Qjet parts, Cliff Ruggles etc. The E Qjet is definitely less supported.

All cars and trucks rust badly if exposed to road salt. That is why you don't drive the good car during the winter in the saltbelt.

E-Qjets still have some support, through they used to have more than now.

 

[Stg1Regal]

1. 81-88 all the coupe frames are interchangeable.( Sans the Malibu or am I wrong?)
2. 81-88 Coupes use the same floor and trunk transition pans.
3. 81-88 Monte Carlo, Olds Cutlass, Buick Regal , and Pontiac Grand Prix use the same roof panel.
4. 81-88 Front and rear windshields are the same (Sans the rear window on a Malibu)
5. 81-88 Cutlass and Buick Regal doors are the same.
6. 81-88 Coupe Door glass the same (sans the Malibu)
7. 81-88 Coupes (sans the Malibu) can be de-skinned and re-skinned to a different model, the inner structural support panels are the same.
( EXAMPLE ::: one could de-skin a Monte SS Aero Coupe and re-skin it with Oldsmobile Cutlass Sheet metal and make a Hurst Olds Aero Coupe)
8. 88 Monte Carlos and 86-87 Buick Grand Nationals share the same baffled fuel tanks for Fuel Injected engines, which swap well into the G bodies for aftermarket Fuel
Injection.
9. The frames engine cradles are pre drilled to except any engine combo, except the Big Block Buick , have to drill your own frame pad holes.
10. 8.5 " rear ends will swap into "ANY" of the G-Bodies.
11. The 12.7 -1 Steering Box Swap into "ANY" of the G-Bodies.
