Went to put in the new G Force crossmember and transmission mount.
While putting in the enery suspension trans mount i was putting in the passenger bolt and it completly broke the female end of where it goes into the transmission. Now no bolt can go in bc their is nothing to bolt to, i still have the peice that broke off.. what should i do?

Theirs no way that tail shaft peice can come off and be replaced right?
I guess i have to get it welded?

Thanx!

That sucks dude!

The 200-4R has a one piece case, so unfortunately it can't be easily replaced...it'll have to be welded.

Thats what i thaught,, i forgot already got ck tomorrow, but its not a top and bottom case right so i cant even get another trans and swap out the case?

..And its aluminum, so its going to have to get heiley coiled.. is that going to be strong enough?

Well, you can always use JB Weld to fix it for the time being. If the car is not too powerful it will hold up for a while. If you go that route though, run a tap through the threads when it sets up. Another option is to have it welded by someone with a TIG welder. Also, if your car is a 442, it has a internally stronger trans than a normal G body would. Either swap all the internals to the new one, or have it built to a higher specification.

I was thinking about doin a Jb weld or somethiing on it, or bring it somewhere to get it alum. welded, but even that idk if i could trust... Ive got the 442 with the OZ tag and i kno its the best trans a gbody could have and it sucks that this ear wrecks the whole trans,

I may get a core and swap all my internals and have it performance rebuilt..But i just found a 2004r on craigslist outta a GN that is supposted to hold 600horse so i may do that.. he says its got BRF Code, Hardened stator shaft, hardened sun shell,.500 in. boost valve, shift kit, kevlar band..sound any good?

I think I would also look into getting it heli-arc welded.

I have a 200-4R trans that's all apart. It's in like new condition. I was going to build it to put in my car, but don't think so at this point.

I almost ran into the same problem, my transmission guys told me either get a new case or heli-coil the bolt in
