Even though I don't approve, it still looks better to me than a Regal with 30" rims and a sky high lift kit.

Just get brave & cut up a S10 4x4 frame, splice it to G frame, then slam it. Forget the off road, make it a road hugger that go in the snow just in case.

I seem to remember a build on the site a couple years ago along those lines. Thread devolved into a $hitstorm IIRC but the car was cool in my opinion. It should turn up with some searching.

To some this might sound absurd,however im curious to know if anyone ever put a 78 monte body on a 78ish k5 blazer frame? Would it be possible without having to throw a ton of money at it? and of course would it be cool or a frankenstien?

Not worth it IMO. If you can do it and have a total of $10,000 in in, expect to get "maybe" $5000 for it.
Not a lot of people looking for a 78 Monte theses days. Even fewer looking ofr a 4x4 78 Monte.

I would like a well done El Camino 4x4...with minimal lift.

Thanks for the input. 4wd would be handy here in montana but i won't cut her up like that. I like the low rider look too much.
