Just some updates. Weather was nice, got some progress done. Fit and refitted header panel, some tweaking require aka hammer, dolly and beer. I noticed more beer, better my work looks. Got some more tweaking to do on passenger side top. But happy enough with the fitment to oxfo (sp?) it Aka rust converter, let it set over night to cure. Re sanded, then I taped edges, sprayed with por 15. Last pic I believe thats painted black, still has tape on edges to cover bare metal for weld through primer. Removed tape and spray weld through primer on it. Maybe I can put this down permanently after my real job work weekend. I'll move over to the build thread section for future updates, gotta keep the forum admin off these exhaust pipes 😆

Great Looking Project. Nice work on the roof repairs. These kind of pics are valuable to all. Do I sense another collision repair tech in our group ?

Hey, what's going on, nice job! I didn't know they had that piece of metal for the T-top cars.
If you need any VERY cheap parts for the interior, etc. for this lmk. I'm in NY and can ship. Send a PM for list.

Lol, no collision repair tech here, I'm actually in the medical field! Lol- I watch way to many restoration car shows, read/absorb way too many build threads and I make a lot of people rich from watching YouTube channels!!
I ain't scared (until I cry wanting bail out help down the road) this hobby is so expensive if you can't do the work yourself or have a experienced buddy to help you can't afford the replacement parts.

I should have known by the New "Pittsburgh" Brand Clamps. Harbor freight I assume ? No offense though. You did a bang up job on drilling out the spot welds. And you are learning it right I.E. the weld through primer is essential to a good job.
Hope you have a decent Mig Welder. P.S. Invest in some welding blanket or pull seats and carpet and cover dash well. I will never forget burning my first set of seats in an E Class Mercedes no less. Carry on !!

Hellzz ya harbor freight clamps. Lol you learn what stuff to buy there to save a buck real quick. Good thing about clamps no matter what brand is on them they either work or they don't...and you know quick enough before u lose the receipt to get money back. Thier Welders are a diff story, might work good on little stuff, then throw a capacitor it will go in and out of duty and you'll spend half day waiting for it to cool to get something accomplished. Yes I try to put the money where it counts, at least that's what my 1000 buck Lincoln mig with all this other fancy stuff on it, that I don't know how to use, is screaming at Me from the corner of my garage 😄
The spot weld drill out bit was also from harbor freight it was 4.99 it took me 2 to do the whole header panel. Which I thought was awesome since I grabbed 10. As oppose to 24.99 per one from Eastwood that looks like exact same one. I would recommend that one from harbor freight. It's gigalo thread approved! However it gets a little Skippy so I predrilled it out with my 10.99 set of titanium drill bits that I got with a coupon from harbor freight... If I broke the drill bit I didn't give a rats *ss. I got 20 more to go. But only one broke surprisingly.. probably due to my over aggression.
As for as interior I will prob strip most of it out. Before welding.. I got a floor plan or 4 to replace... This car was neglected and T tops prob been leaking since 1986. So when I pull the carpet it will be like opening a Christmas present, I will see if g bodies play naughty or nice.. thanks for the insight nothing worst then rushing and forgetting a little detail that will ruin your day.
