So here are the relevant numbers for this discussion

DW943 82/92 S10/sonoma

DW889 G body Sedan/Wagon with antenna

DW890 G body Sedan/Wagon without antenna

DW935 G body Coupe/El Camino/Caballero with antenna

DW1016 G body coupe/El Camino/Caballero without antenna

These are the NAGS numbers (National Auto Glass Specifications) and are the number used to identify a specific piece of glass with specific dimensions. I seriously doubt they would go to the ridiculous idea of using multiple numbers to manipulate pricing.

There's different "grades" of windshields that do vary in price. The NAGS number doesn't worry about quality, just what it fits. There's manufacturer glass, OEM replacement glass, and aftermarket glass, basically. All can be under the same NAGS numbers. Sometimes the aftermarket glass is dubbed OEE, or original equipment equivalent. Whatever that means. Some are thinner than others, and some have different coloring/tinting, but they all have to meet minimum DOT standards. Cheaper glass usually has more waves than OEM glass, but that could be more a manner of how thick it is than manufacturing process. Pricing is sometimes just due to how much of a markup the shop owner wants to make as well as glass quality level. If it's a cash and carry, or they want to move a piece of glass, you can sometimes get a good deal even on the more expensive junk. I stumbled on a set of non-vinyl quarter glass that way. PPG OEM tinted quarter glass they had someone order and never picked up. Fire sale!

A note about NAGS numbers- DW935 = Domestic, Windshield. 935= assigned number by NAGS authority to fit those dimensions. If it was domestic quarter glass, it's DQ, etc., so you can tell where on the car it should be. The part number may have a dash behind it like DQ456-57, you're looking at a RH (passenger side) and LH part number. 456 and 457. Same way GM numbers their RH and LH parts, most of the time. Odd number on the left, even number on the right. It matters not who makes the glass, those numbers are for each fitment.
