Vote carefully, you only have one vote and you may not change it once you have submitted it!

We had another great year for G-body of the month in 2012. I would first off like to thank everyone who participated. To recap the year, the 11 GBOTM winners will have the opportunity of being named G-Body Of The Year! The car/owner with the most votes come December 25th will be crowned G-body of the Year! You get one vote, so make it count.

Pictures and Descriptions are below for each car along with the topic for each month

*There are only 11 winners this year because of the concept of picking the winner of the month before that month actually got here. So we voted for the winner of September in August. The only problem is I didnt start that in the beginning of the year so now we are a winner short.*

Feel free to discuss about the rides below as well

Good Luck winners! Happy voting and Happy New Year!

***Note*** Please be mindful of who you are actually voting for, the member's name and ballot selector is located above the picture, NOT under it. ALSO make sure you hit "submit"

Added SS nose,88 rear bumper, taillights, quarter windows and steering column, I took off the half vinyl top and all the chrome and removed the fender antenna and then mig welded all the holes

file.php

I built this 565BBC using a Merlin Race block, Callies 4.25 crank,AFR 335CNC heads,Cam Motion custom roller with 4/7 swap, I port matched a Super Victor and added a Quickfuel 1150 along with a Zex perimeter plate sytem that I made all the brackets for out of aluminum.

file.php

I took out the gray interior and added Curello buckets and mounted them to GM power units, installed the roll bar, made a custom gauge panel and all the upper door panels and raised the rear footwell 1.5" to clear my 4.5" exhaust.

file.php

The only interior part that is original is the dashpad which I painted. The MSD 7AL-3 is mounted to the backside of the glovebox door and the timing computer is in the pass kick panel

file.php

20 gal fuel cell with foam and sender, Zex bottle with heater and a huge Optima battery fill my trunk

file.php

December - boatshoes - Projects/Builds

The car: 1978 el camino

"I redid the engine and trans, did an air suspension on it, currently doing the interior, welded in new floor pans and some body panel pieces, shaved the doors and locks and side markers, shaved the tailgate, sectioned bumpers and put a plate tub in the rear, retrofit the 84 front on it, painted it and a bunch of other stuff.

I have built this car 100% myself in my garage at home. I have made alot of parts for it. It'll be driving this upcoming spring.

It's not for everybody, it's just for me. 😀" - boatshoes

Lots of nice work have been done making this project different than most but still sweet 8)
