Please read before entering!

This month's topic might require some work in order to enter.

The topic for this month is "Vintage Pictures" of Gbodys (topic selected by YGSpider)

In other words the picture must be taken using a non digital camera. (which will require you to scan the picture)

The picture must be from back in the day, not one taken yesterday with an old camera or a digital picture edited to give it a vintage effect.

The car in the picture can be a Gbody that you used to own back in the day, but if you do not still have it you may still enter it.

The car can be your car or the car of someone in your family, maybe the person who got you into Gbodys.

I would like to emphasize that the picture you are submitting must have been taken back in the day, not a recent digital picture.

P.S i will be submitting my dad's old Monte Carlo SS as an example!

Thanks, and hope you guys enjoy the challenge!

This is a good example of what we are looking for you are submitting.

My Entry:

This is my dad's 1984 Monte Carlo SS. He put on the blue SS stripes going down the hood and trunk of the car. He also put on the American Racing Outlaw rims. Other than that the car was stock. This picture was taken in 1984, and that is my dad's buddy standing next to the car, not my dad. The car was then traded in on a new 1985 IROC-Z.

Here's a pic that was taken the day i bought my car 17 years ago, taken with an old cheap camera.

Bone stock, emblems, body side mouldings and pin stripe
This one was taken about two weeks later taken with the same camera

Man, this month is gonna be good! 🙂
My dad had 4 different ones. I don't know which one to pick. I suppose I could throw them all up for kicks, but not for voting.
I'm liking that Monte Carlo SS. A white '84 with stripes; that's like my dream car.
Man, Chris, your car hasn't aged a day! 8)

This was the inspiration for my current build:
My very first Gbody, 1984 Pontiac Grand Prix T-top/vinyl roof.
SBC 350, mild cam
200 4R transmission
Custom body kit
Daytona style camaro hood scoop
Leather bucket seats
Hey, I was young, the work that went into this car reflected my age!!

The first 4 pictures were scanned as they were taken with a disposable camera.

The front skirt was broken and repaired in this pic. Unfortunately there is no before shot.

After getting rear ended by a drunk teen on the highway. When he hit, the driver's side t-roof popped off, to give an indication how hard he hit. Car written off.

My 84 SS. First car I ever bought, just turned 18(1997). $500 no motor or transmission. This is after trailering it home.

Then two cars later and 19 years old, I bought my first Malibu. It was a 78 that I got from my brother. Ended up with his 375hp 355 in it also(bought the engine from him first then got the car too). Paint job cost me a case a beer.
