Hey you guys have been great help so far and i really appreciate it. I bought a "noisy" gear drive off ebay. It seems this is far more difficult to install than a traditional chain. Ive searched but not found a good tutorial. I would love to put this on my car but the directions that came with the gears arent very helpful. And theres no markings on the gears 🙁 Any help will be greatly appreciated

My car is in the shop right now getting a 355 installed. I'm also getting a gear drive added. I have seen engines last over 10 years with a gear drive in them, and I have heard of gear drives failing causing engine damage. As long as they are installed properly (check all clearances) they work trouble free, will probably outlast your engine.

Good luck, and please post some videos when you are done. 🙂

I have the same Pete Jackson noisy gear drive for over 8 years and its been in two different engines, one of which is currently in my Monte. I have put many miles on it with out a problem.
