What source do you guys use for small parts? In particular, I'm looking for the glove box latch and lock (basically the whole mechanism) for a '79 Regal. Right now there's just a big, empty hole in my glove box door and it's hanging open. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Should be able to snatch a kit up from ebay. If no luck, check out kirban performance, mikes montes, dixie resto, etc.
I recently purchased a door/trunk lock kit from kirban and the price was decent, came with keys and clips to install. I'll get you a link man....hang tight.

Reach out to O.D. Showtime or 81Regal and see if they have a good used one.

Thanks Jared...

I was just going through a box the other day and saw 2 latches, let me get them out. I think 1 is older style and 1 is newer. I don't have any locks right now and sold my last glove box with key just a couple of weeks ago.

The lock is easy to buy new and then can be keyed to match the existing door key.

Awesome! Thanks guys. I'll check with Jeff and get back. I appreciate all the help.

So I've found a lot of weird stuff in this car that the PO had squirreled away. This weekend I found two pairs of barber scissors wrapped in wax paper (he wasn't a barber), a pair of large hedge trimmers stored neatly in a paper shopping bag, and every tiny scrap of broken bumper filler panel double-bagged in a plastic shopping bag in the trunk. I also found what appears to be a new/used/spare glove box latch! I will have to compare it to the original one and see if it matches up. If so, I should be good to go with just a lock. Here's hoping......
