My glovebox is totally jacked. I bought this car and someone broke in and destroyed the box, it won't close because they busted out the crossmember above the box that the box itself latched to. My question is, has anyone done a mod where they put something else in that glovebox space, besides the glovebox itself? If so what and how did you do it?

I'm in the same boat too on my car i am currently looking for gray dashboard. But if you figure something out let me know as my dashboard is really in good shape except for the glovebox issue. I think its made of fiberglass and it probably could be saved. I am going to take the dashboard off one of these days and see what can be done. Good luck!

I've got a glovebox if you want it. Color is maroon but can be painted to match.

I thought about putting a piece of wood behind the opening and mounting some type of speaker or speakers there. Cover the wood with some car carpet. I have seen on other sites people putting little tv screens in that area (different cars however). Right now, it's just a big hole.

That's an idea. Aluminum is easier to work with if you want a patch panel.
