Yrs ago I pulled a head on a 427 in a grain truck. Upon reinstalling it the last head bolt torqued i ended up pulling the threads out of the block. It was a dowel hole so the thread engagement in the block was shorter. Pulled the head back off, helicoiled, copper coated the head gasket and put it back together. This engine idled easily around 3-400 rpm. lol
