GM Performance Parts announced their new smog legal E-Rod crate engine kit that can be swapped into any 1995 and older OBD1 vehicle or a specialty constructed vehicle. No hassle from the smog referee.
The engine kit comes with a wiring harness, control module, catalytic converters, exhaust manifold, oxygen sensors, fuel tank evaporative emmisions canisters, air filter, mass airflow sensor, and drive by wire accelerator pedal. The LS3 engine is a 6.2L 430 horse/424 lb-ft package. The LS327 5.3L, LS7 7.0L and Supercharged 6.2L version will all be available soon. The LS3 kit is about $7,900. Hopefully the LS327 will be a lot cheaper.
