Fords always had a better idea...
🙂 Yeah, that's BS.
I have to admit, my recently late mother-in-law's 2012 Ford Focus isn't a terrible car for its price point, even that it's on the more inexpensive side. I'm really surprised by the paint quality on this little car.
Sunroof, some amenities, power windows, remote trunk and door locks, power steering, automatic. Little 4 cylinder that cranks right up every time. Bought it at the local Ford dealer she always bought her cars from. It finally broke 3,300 miles. It's had more oil changes every year than it has the number of trips outside of town.
It should survive probate, and then by Christmas it will become legally mine. She willed it to me because I went with her to negotiate the purchase and helped her save a lot of $$ on it. Which was kinda easy, actually. No trade, cash on the barrelhead. Here's a check, take it or don't. The check indicated final offer. Already made out. All they had to do was endorse it and cash it. Surprisingly, they did. It was for 200 over invoice. They had a ton of 2012 Focus cars in stock right at the 2013's were starting to be shipped. They had to move them. She was very happy. Now I got to figure out what to do with it. I told her I didn't WANT her car or anything willed to me, but she wouldn't have it. So.....I kinda wish she was into Corvettes...
