Ive got a blue point air buffer. I need a new pad for it. When ever I compound my vehicles I can never get them to really POP like I want them too. Ill have to check out that Lake Country pads and definetally Menerza Products.

I get all of my stuff from www.autogeek.net they also have a fantastic forum with more information then you could ever need for detailing cars. When I first got into detailing, I didn't want to mess around with trying a bunch of different stuff and wasting money so I just went with what the majority said was the best out there for polish. Most people that I found said that they looked and looked for the best until they found Menzerna and never went with anything else afterwords. I am hooked on it and won't use anything else either.

More wet sanding taking place now, going over the entire car here. My goal is to eliminate about 80% of the orange peel from the factory, basically making this paint look better then the day it rolled out of the paint booth, except of course the blemishes that come from a car with 220,000 miles on it :lol:

Paint condition on the rear passenger side quarter panel, remember that nice nasty scratch...

Wet sanded the entire quarter and the bottom of the back door.

Some reflection shots after wet sanding, compounding, and medium cut polish.

These next pics have already tricked a few people... notice the text 😉

Now on to the drivers side, this is the condition of the paint before any work was done.

Drivers side fender, and both doors all wet sanded. Notice that there is still some shiny spots that were not sanded, that is because you want to stay away from sharp corners and edges (or be EXTREMELY careful with them) as it is very easy to sand the clear and paint right off. I chose to just get close to them and not actually do any sanding in those areas.

Now remember that I still have a finishing polish to do yet as well as wax, those will both wait for the entire car to be done first though.

Just that work alone took me eight hours to do. All said and done, I imagine that by the time I am completely done with this car I will probably have 25 - 30 hours into the paint alone, not to mention probably another 20 into the interior and under hood detail which I haven't even started yet

damn dude you do good work. all that stuff must have took forever but its worth it. looks way better. i like what you did with the lights too.
