got laid off

So I got my car back but got no car to go to work it still needs , driveshaft , brakelines hooked up , and radiator fans. But my salesman/ helper says I should get my new wireing harness and cluster gauges first.

Well I got laid off not because of my car but because of my boss not hireing me on so I won't finish my car it's messed up so he laid me off he was a Honda fan wich I don't hate but I don't know if I should go easy and not spend 1500 more for my Dakota digital gauges and new wireing harness or leave that further down the line .
