Man I always loved them olds rallies. I was gonna put them on the monte but figured they would look out of place so I bought some chevy rallies instead!

I saw a set of Olds rallyes on a first gen ext. cab 2wd S-10 one day when I was in Winnipeg. It didn't look bad with the rims painted to match the truck, but they did stand out to me.
Yea I figured they would look cool to most people but to anyone who knew what they were they would stand out. Im not sure why but I've always been a big fan of stock rallies on GM cars preferrably corvette/camaros. I bought all 4 15x8" rallies from a vette for $50! The trim rings weren't original but the caps were. Until one night driving down the road both the cap and ring flew off my front left wheel 😢 scared the living sh*t out of me!

Crappy pic. I just did the driver side cuz I wanted to see what it would look like....the lugnuts that were on the steelies are special for the bracket for the wire wheel covers...they'll work just for looks till I get the correct ones.

I love it 🙂

hey, whats the back spacing on those particular wheels? also what tire size?

Not sure what the backspacing is on these rims, maybe someone else could chime in. Tire size is 215/65/15, stock for 15" wheels.

it depends what they came off of, if they were off a 70's car then its 4.25, if theyre off an 80's car then its 4". i was just curious because i have 2 nice sets of painted 15x7's and the idea of using them instead of my nice chrome rallyes has crossed my mind a few times for a real sleeper look. im told that if a larger tire was used then there would be interference issues provided youre using wheels of a 70's car. feel free anyone to correct me if i'm wrong

A lot of people use the 235/60/15 though as its the same height only it fills out the wheel wells a little better like a performance car should. No rub issues either. At least not with an 80s 15x7.

if you run a 1/4" spacer you can fit a 255/60.

Car looks good!! big improvement 8)

I run 245/50s all the way around on mine.

You mean 1/4" spacer if they are 70s ralleys and no need if they are 80s ralleys? Both the GN & the 442 in my pics had the rims widened to 15x8s which I love but it takes time and money. I used 275/50s on the GN and tried both 275/60s and 255/70s on the 442 because of trying it with both 3.42 & 3.73s. I did not like the tall 29" 70s. I just tried if for the gearing as I was going to cut the frame rails and try a 29" 295/65 drag radial for best gearing and traction.

Yea the 245/50/15s look a little short but it probably helps your gear and would look outstanding if it were lowered a bit. An airbag would help lift the drooping rear and give it some stance.

It looks likes it's drooping because it's on an incline but it really sits flat. The Hotchkis springs did lower it about 1 1/2". I did choose the shorter 24 1/2" tires to go with the stock 3.08 posi rear end. It makes for a good all around set up. Much more highway friendly than my 71 Chevelle with 28" tall tires and 3.73 gears. Plan to put a 2004r in the Chevelle when I sell the Cutlass to remedy that.
