Grand Prix 2+2 PARTS

I bought a Grand Prix 2+2 and it was hit in the left front approximately 20 years ago. It is missing a front bumper, inner fenders, wheel well liners and and some odds and ends. I found out that the inner fenders and wheel well liners are discontinued from GM. I was wondering if anyone knows if any other Gbodys parts will work. A friend has a cutlass for parts but I don't know if they will work. I don't have the originals to see if there is any difference.

I'm just being curious here. Does the car still have the sloped urethane nosepiece on it? I'm assuming that the rear glass and trunklid are still there and in good shape. If I was in your position, I think I'd be looking for an '85-'87 Grand Prix as a donor car for parts. That should give you the best possibility of getting the correct parts that you're looking for.

Yes the rest of the car is in very good shape. The seller had another nose that he gave me. The interior is in excellent shape and the body is in pretty good shape just some fading of the paint. Someone started taking the motor apart years ago so it has been open for a very long time.

Are you going to fix up the car as a restoration? I'm asking because once again, I'm curious. Are you going to re-use the original 305 Chev engine?

I don't think so. I it has been open for quite some time. I have a line on a very low mileage 5.3 LS and am thinking about doing this conversion. I am going to keep the outside of the car original looking but with a different drive train.
