grand prix dash

Hello all so I have put a grand prix dash into my cutlass and wonder do I need to use the whole grand prix harness or just the dash/engine

If you have the complete dash harness with fuse box from the GP, use it. In my case I didn't have the whole GP harness, so I used my Malibu harness but had to re-pin the two gauge connectors and had to lengthen a few leads.

i have a full gp harness since i bought a grandprix now i have a cutlass long story the grand prix rear light harness does not work with the cutlass lights so i took my cutlass light harness and connected it to the grand prix one. would my lights work? or does it have to have the grand prix rear light harness?

you rear lights should work, GM used the same rear harness on all the G bodies (expect Wagons and El Caminos) and the harness that plugs into it at the left rear corner of the trunk is vehicle specific. If you look at the wire colors they will line up with the same wire colors of the rear light harshness.

Okay thanks Steve I am going to switch out my front gp harness for the cutlass for the front lights

Your front harness will work as long as the Cutlass isn't have the euro lights
