I luv watching that video. Someone posted it on here a while back and I saved it. Yeah that guy's pretty good. And the car is freaking awesome.

imagine what a g-body could look like with the kind of cash that is in that lil subaru.

On that course, it would look like a paraplegic trying to run the hurdles in the Olympics. When you consider how well scienced out a WRX is to begin with versus a mid 1960's family car platform, there really is no comparison. Our cars can see significant improvements, but to get to that level would require a fundamental re-engineering of the G body platform. The WRX has AWD, modern suspension geometry, better weight distribution, and a flat 4 engine which puts the weight lower in the chassis than any V8 could hope for. Not knockin' the G body, it's a great platform for what it is, but technology has vastly changed since 1964. Drive one of these newer cars and you'll see what I mean. It's hard to beat a WRX STi or an EVO on a track with anything short of a dedicated high end sports car. Even then, an EVO VIII FQ-400 can take down a Lamborghini Murcielago on some tracks.

That car is made to do that. Let's see him do that with an average car and I'll be impressed. Better yet, let's see him do it in a mini van. 😀

Im not saying put a g-body on a track like that. althoe that would be fun to watch
Im just thinking, how cool would a g-body look what a budget like his

Not very cool. The price for upgrades to a G-Body is a lot more than the price to upgrade a widely available WRX-STi.

but no matter how much you mod a WRX-STi or any other compact car, its still looks more like a toy then a car.

And If you know how to frabricate stuff, you can do a lot to an old g-body for not much money.
Where on a car like that subaru you need to everything computer designed (or damn near) so that it will fit and work in the compact areas everything need to fit.

And IMO I would take a rusted out old school car over a car like that subaru. But thats the redneck in me

And a funny thing about the car in that video, my nieghbors buddy has the same damn car. the same rear fin and hood scoop to, but not all of the same mods of course

I could do that... get him to llet me borrow the car and I'll show you.

Actually to correct what was said earlier, for the most part a G is way cheaper to build then an AWD, computers control everything, and it's Japanese Subaru
