It depends on the level and kind of performance you are trying to achieve. The early WRX's (in this market at least) are not that expensive now. You could probably find one for around $12k. This is not to say that the WRX is without problems. It has one Achilles' heel, and that is the transmission on non-STi models. It is basically the same trans used in the Legacy and Imprezza 2.5 RS with no strength improvements, so when you add too much boost it is the first thing to go. Then again, a G body has a weak transmission, engine, and rear axle. All of those need to be changed unless you are blessed with a few rare models (Turbo Regals and 442/HO Cutlasses) to make a G body seriously fast, and then you also need to change the brakes, all of the suspension, wheels, tires, seats, convert to a manual transmission, etc. to have it in the ballpark of a mildly modded WRX. Yes, a G body is cheaper to make a drag car out of, but who cares? I prefer a car that does everything well, not just straight lines. My car is being set up to do it all, and by the time I am done I will have a stupefying amount of money and time invested in it.

re

i wonder how many times he had to practice that same routine to get it right? Let me borrow the car,let me practice the routine till its memorized and then ill do the same.
