Don't pay the ransom, I escaped! Been a crazy 8 months but finally made some progress on this CutLess. Got the engine/trans installed. Modified the existing crossmember. Added Holley Sniper EFI. Replaced fuel tank with Holley pump and tank kit. Removed the existing 2" dual exhaust and quiet mufflers and installed a Holley Blackheart 2.5" kit. I have a posi and 3.42 setup to go in, but currently has the 2.56 gear. The TKO shifts and runs well, but leaks like a new puppy and the speedo gear is out to lunch. Also put in new ABS headliner but rest of interior was good. One of the things I'm most proud of is the shifter comes thru the console in the same place the auto shifter did. I have a boot under the console but need another to dress up the top of the console. Still have lots of issues to work out but we are making progress. I had more pics however a phone malfunction lost them all. We have a new grandson 8 weeks old now that we baby sit couple days a week and I have been helping my son with his concrete pumping business and that slows progress on this project but it's a marathon not a sprint, right?

That thing is gorgeous. I remember getting a replacement fender for my 87' supreme that was black with a red pin stripe and wishing that was my paint combo.

Nice car. Looking at the mis-alignment of the drivers door, looks to need hinge repair. I’ve always hated those rivet on b/s mouldings. That’s going to be a fun cruiser.

I hope you're joking... It's his car, let him do what he wants with it. I think it's pretty awesome what he's planning to do. Going to be a hell of a lot more fun with a stick shift and with the lame *ss 307 pulled out in favor of a built 350 or 383 or whatever SBC he's putting in instead.

Clearly you haven't met Fleming.

Are you sure the title says 1987? It looks like a 1986 to me with 1984 grills.
It's funny that you mention that. The salvage title says 87 but the retired dealer that I bought it from said it had the front and rear painted. I have been so busy that I haven't taken the time to compare the grilles and learn about the cosmetic changes through the years. I really like the 'Euro' style headlites but not enough to spend $ to change.

You guys have good eyes. This car looks better at 50' than up close. I have had nice cars that I wouldn't drive for fear of door dings or getting dirty, etc. I want this to be 'presentable' but not to spend a fortune on exterior and then not use it.
