Perhaps if the forum sends him more business, he can do a better rate via group purchase, etc.

This is great- thanks... I'll call him Monday- be sure to post pics.... The guy painting my '78 monte black thought about painting the trim a Matt black, too. I think rechroming the headlight bezels, rear tailights, along with new chrome bumper strips would look good against black powder coated rally rims....

Hey All,

Just closing off this thread by posting a pic of the finished headlight bezels that I had spray chromed using the Cosmichrome process:

I am really happy the way they turned out. I figure they are about 98% perfect which is fine with me.

I also really like that I can wax them as the finishing coat of the process is clear coat.

Would definitely recommend and may do some more pieces in the future.

Those do look great Matt....thanks for sharing!

They look good if you don't mind what was the final cost.

Total cost was $200 CND.

Initially I was quoted $150 but as mentioned earlier in this thread, my bezels needed some bead blasting as the chrome paint that I unearthed underneath all the black paint finish I got all off was peeling quite badly.

Ray charges $50 an hour for prep work. Would definitely advise anyone sending Ray their stuff undertakes the prep work themselves if possible. I think $100 each bezel was very fair and reasonable to have them look the way they look.

OK thanks if I decide I will prep mine before shipping.
