Will the grill and headlight bezels for an 81 el camino fit on an 80 model with no modification required??? If so can you use the lights and side markers off the 80 model in the 81 models bezels???? Thanks 80elky911

I've heard/read that the plastic inserts to fasten the grille can be in slightly different spots between 80/81. I've also heard/read that some have swapped between the two with no issues. It is doable. I'm certain the signal lamps and the corners lights are the same for 80/81, headlights will be the same.
Thanks alot for your info. It certainly looks like it is the same between the two years. I just notice no one offers a repop for an 80 elcamino grille. However I have seen catalogs with a grille that says 80-81 . So I'm assuming these are interchangeable. Thanks again, Ray
It's not clear that the 80 and 81 bezels and grille are interchangeable. The 81 set is in reproduction by OPGI, but not the 80 set. I am still hunting for a nice 80 grille, but I recently picked up a set of bezels and lenses from a Forum member. If your 80 grille is nice, and you don't mind the look of the 81, let me know, and I can help contribute to the cost of a reproduction set for you.
